    The School Arts at the University of KwaZulu-Natal is internationally known for its excellence in Research, Teaching and Learning, and Community Engagement. It boasts a substantial number of internationally recognised researchers,
    NRF-rated scholars and scholars with international recognition for their excellence in Teaching and Learning. Their academic books as well as other academic publications are well prescribed across South Africa, the African
    continent and internationally.

    With the merger between the former University of Natal and the University of Durban-Westville, this reputation was enhanced because it brought together some of the most senior researchers and academics in the country in one school.
